Apple Releases Special Edition AirPods 4 for Chinese New Year 2025 – Still RM829

In conjunction with the upcoming Chinese New Year celebration, Apple is releasing a special edition AirPods 4. The Year of the Snake Special Edition AirPods 4 – yes, the name is a bit of a mouthful – has a unique case design and packaging to differentiate it from the standard model.

Aside from the cute little snake design, other specifications of the special edition AirPods 4 are the same as the standard model. Based on the ANC model of the wireless earbuds – which is priced similarly at RM829 – the AirPods 4 ANC, as its name suggests, features active noise cancellation; a rather intriguing feature for a pair of open-ear wireless earbuds.

Nonetheless, ANC on the AirPods 4 actually works quite well as tested in our full review. The wireless earbuds also promise improved audio quality thanks to an “entirely new acoustic architecture, low-distortion driver, and high dynamic range amplifier,” as Apple puts it. Aside from that, it is powered by Apple’s H2 chip too, which adds Voice Isolation for clearer call quality, as well as Siri Interactions where users can simply nod yes or shake their heads no to respond to Siri announcements.

The Year of the Snake Special Edition AirPods 4 is now available in Malaysia through Apple’s online store for RM829. Alternatively, it can also be purchased at Apple The Exchange TRX itself; customers can even opt for in-store pickup through the online store.
