3 Summonses Get RM150 Special Rate Until 30 June 2025 – Pay Up or Get Blacklisted
January 2, 2025 Andrew Cheng

Three types of traffic summonses are now discounted to RM150 (from RM300) until 30 June 2025. This is announced by Transport Minister Anthony Loke, and those who do not settle their outstanding summonses by 30 June will not be allowed to renew their road taxes and driving licenses.

The three types of summonses that are discounted to RM150 include exceeding the speed limit, not complying with traffic light rules, and summonses that are physically affixed to a vehicle; also known as “saman tampal.” The RM150 special rate for these summonses are only applicable for payments made through the MyJPJ app, JPJ counter, JPJ kiosks, or mobile counters.

According to Loke, those with outstanding summonses have actually been blacklisted. “The moment their road tax or license is due for renewal, they cannot renew it due to their outstanding summonses. That is why we gave them a six-month grace period so that they can pay up their summonses with a special rate of RM150, so that they can immediately renew their licenses or road taxes,” he said.

If you want to check if you’ve got any outstanding traffic summonses, you can do so through the MyJPJ app; it can be downloaded through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. As mentioned, summonses that are not settled by 30 June 2025 will result in a blacklist, preventing motorists from renewing their driving licenses and road taxes.
