GoCar & drivEV Now Offer EV Car Sharing in Johor Bahru – GAC Aion Y Plus, Ora Good Cat

Those who are in Johor Bahru – or planning to travel there – good news: GoCar Malaysia and Yinson GreenTech’s drivEV are introducing EV car sharing at key locations in the city. Currently, two EVs are offered by the companies: GAC Aion Y Plus and GWM’s Ora Good Cat.

To celebrate the launch of the service in Johor Bahru, the Aion Y Plus can be booked for five hours at only RM100 – with code JBJOLT, valid until 28 February 2025 – but this price exclude CDW, Flex, and SST. Normally, the Aion Y Plus costs RM27.90/hour or RM279/day, so you’re saving quite a bit with the launch promotion.

As for the Ora Good Cat, no special launch rate is offered for the EV, though its pricing structure is slightly more affordable than the GAC EV at RM24.90/hour or RM199/day.

“The success of our EV sharing fleet in Klang Valley has proven that zero-emission mobility is not just a vision but a practical and scalable solution for modern urban transport. By expanding this initiative to Johor Bahru, in collaboration with drivEV, we are taking another significant step toward reducing carbon footprints and promoting sustainable travel,” said the CEO of GoCar Malaysia, Wong Hoe Mun.

Managing Director of drivEV, Kelvin Soon, also chimed in on the collaboration. “This partnership with GoCar Malaysia exemplifies our commitment to making sustainable mobility more accessible and practical.
