Honor is set to bring its latest flagship smartphone, the Honor Magic 7 Pro to the Malaysian market very, very soon. Of course, one of the key highlights of the phone is the chipset under the hood, which is none other than the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite.

Aside from that, the Magic 7 Pro is also said to be the first smartphone in the world to feature on-device AI for deepfake detection. It’s said to be able to detect deepfakes within three seconds of a video call, which should prove to be useful for folks who are wary of scams.

While the Magic 7 Pro was launched in China a couple of months ago with its full list of specifications, we can’t reveal the local specs of the phone just yet. Nonetheless, one of the sample units were placed in an aquarium, confirming that the Malaysian unit of the phone sports the same IP68/IP69 rating as the China market.

Now that the Honor Magic 7 Pro is confirmed for the Malaysian market, we reckon the Chinese company will release more local details on the flagship smartphone in the near future. Hopefully, the exact local launch date of the Magic 7 Pro will be revealed soon.
