Haier Malaysia Achieves 40% Growth in 2024 – To Increase Brand Shops to 75 Next Year

Haier Malaysia just revealed its sales performance for 2024, and it’s looking great for the Chinese company. Ahead of the holiday season, Haier says that it has achieved its projected 40% overall growth on our shores with encouraging sales performance in different product categories.

The sales of Haier air conditioners, for one, saw a 47% year-on-year (YoY) growth. This is followed by televisions (38%), washing machines (37%), and refrigerators (35%). Basically, staple household appliances, and the company is planning to increase the number of its brand shops in Malaysia to 75 next year, up from the current 55 stores.

“Our strong performance in 2024 reaffirms Malaysia’s position as a core market for Haier, both regionally and globally. The 2024 performance lays a strong foundation for us and we aim to sustain a high revenue growth of 30% consistently over the next five years,” said the Managing Director of Haier Malaysia, Fan Jing.

Moving forward in 2025, Haier Malaysia will focus on three core strategies. These include strengthening its high-end product offerings, differentiated marketing initiatives, and deepening use of digitalisation. “We also aspire to improve our market leadership in the country with a market share exceeding 30% by 2029,” said Fan.
