Pro-Net & EVC Installing EV Chargers at 100 Condominiums – From RM0.63/kWh
December 2, 2024 Andrew Cheng

Pro-Net and JomCharge operator EV Connection (EVC) have launched the Pro-Net-EVC Condominium EV Charging Infrastructure Programme, as the two companies call it. The programme will see the installation of AC chargers at over 100 different condominiums, and the rates are said to be affordable too.

How affordable? Well, naturally, smart and future owners of the Proton e.MAS 7 – two brands that are handled by Pro-Net – will be able to enjoy the best rate of RM0.63/kWh from January 2025 onwards. The companies claim this is “nearly as affordable as the TNB residential tariff for landed property owner.”

Of course, non-smart and e.MAS 7 owners can also enjoy pretty competitive rates of RM0.70/kWh. The pricing will apply to condominiums with EV chargers that are on the JomCharge network, including approximately 70 condos that are already part of the system.

Condominium managements that are interested to set up an EV charging facility can submit their application through EVC’s website. Successful applicants will be eligible for a free package that includes EV chargers, infrastructure work, compliance costs, charger management system, and porting onto the JomCharge network. On top of that, condominiums that signed up through the programme will even be eligible for a profit/revenue sharing mechanism.
