The MG Cyberster will finally make its debut in Malaysia next week on 4 December. On top of that, the electric roadster will even be previewed to members of the public – along with “an array of exciting MG models,” as the carmaker puts it – at the Kuala Lumpur International Mobility Show (KLIMS) 2024 from 5 to 11 December.
As previously revealed, the Cyberster is set to retail below the RM350,000 price point in Malaysia for the sole dual-motor all-wheel-drive model. For that kind of money, it offers a total output of 375kW (503PS) and 725Nm of torque, allowing it to go from 0-100kmph in only 3.2 seconds to a top speed of 210kmph.
Given how much power the Cyberster offers, it’s impressive that the EV’s 77kWh battery can still offer up to 446km of range as measured on the stringent WLTP standard. DC charging is rated at 150kW for a 10% to 80% charge time of 38 minutes, though AC charging is quite a bit slower at 7kW, taking approximately 10.5 hours (!) to achieve a 10% to 100% charge.
Styling wise, the Cyberster features a broad, low-profile silhouette with a retractable soft top. It also has electric frameless scissor doors, 20-inch alloy wheels, and red brake calipers to complete the sporty-appeal of the electric roadster. Naturally, the Cyberster features MG Pilot ADAS too, which include adaptive cruise control and lane keeping assistance.
The MG Cyberster is now available for booking in Malaysia with an estimated retail price of below RM350,000. Final pricing of the electric roadster will be revealed at its official launch next week on 4 December.
