Huawei just launched a new tablet in Malaysia, and the Huawei MatePad 12 X is aimed at both creative professionals and those who want “PC-level productivity,” as the Chinese company puts it. Measuring 5.9mm thin with a PaperMatte display, it’s a rather intriguing Android tablet.
Here in Malaysia, the MatePad 12 X is offered in the sole 12GB + 256GB configuration for RM2,999. One of the most highlighted features of the tablet is the 12-inch 2800 x 1840 LCD PaperMatte screen with 30-144Hz adaptive refresh rate. Thanks to the unique “nanoscale texture design” of the PaperMatte display, it offers paper-like writing experience while minimising glare.
Of course, a 3rd generation Huawei M-Pencil stylus is also bundled with the MatePad 12 X along with a Huawei Smart Magnetic Keyboard cover. Other specifications of the tablet include a dual camera system (13MP primary + 8MP ultra-wide), an 8MP selfie camera, and a 10,100mAh battery. Although it wasn’t mentioned by Huawei itself, the MatePad 12 X reportedly features a Kirin T90A chipset.
The Huawei MatePad 12 X is now available for pre-order in Malaysia until 29 November for RM2,999. Early birds can also enjoy RM2,624 worth of freebies, including the aforementioned M-Pencil, Smart Magnetic Keyboard cover, Huawei Mouse, Huawei FreeBuds 5, a Huawei-branded backpack, and a one-year screen protection.
