Honor just launched a new mid-range smartphone in Malaysia, the Honor X9c. Touted to be a durable smartphone with drop, scratch, and water resistance – even though it only has an IP65M rating instead of the more robust IP68 rating – it also has a rather sizeable 6,600mAh battery with 66W charging.
For the Malaysian market, the Honor X9c is priced at RM1,499 for the 12GB + 256GB base model, while the 12GB + 512GB configuration costs RM1,699. As mentioned, durability is one of the main selling points of the X9c, and according to Honor, the phone can withstand drops from up to 2m in height.
Other specifications of the Honor X9c include a 6.78-inch 2700 x 1224 curved OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, a dual camera system (108MP main + 5MP ultra-wide), a 16MP selfie camera, and the aforementioned IP65 rating. That means it is protected from water jets, but not underwater immersion.
The Honor X9c is now available for pre-order in Malaysia from RM1,499. Those who place an order for the phone by 14 November will also get freebies worth RM1,486, including a RM99 rebate, a Honor Choice Haylou Watch, a 365-day front and back crack replacement, as well as a 180-day one-to-one replacement.
