Another round of JPJ recall is happening. This time, it involves Perodua and Boon Siew Honda. More specifically, the Perodua Alza and Aruz, as well as the Honda CB350RS retro-style motorbike. Collectively, over 3,722 units – all of which are produced in 2024 – are affected by the recall.
Both the Alza and Aruz are being recalled by JPJ for headlamps that don’t comply with specifications. These include 2,518 units of the Alza – all three variants are affected – as well as 1,139 units of the Aruz, where the issue is found on both the X and AV models of the seven-seater SUV made in 2024.
As for the Honda CB350RS, 65 units of the motorbike produced in 2024 are being recalled by JPJ over faulty wheel speed sensor. This affects the functionalities of the speedometer, ABS, and even traction control. It’s worth noting that a similar recall was also done in India for the bike.
If you’re affected by this JPJ recall, you will be contacted by the respective brands. All costs to rectify the issue will be borne by the brand, and if you suspect your model is affected by the recall, you can get in touch with the company for confirmation; it’s better to be safe than sorry.
