Initially launched in India earlier this year, the Infinix GT Book is being previewed in Malaysia. The large gaming laptop promises good value for money, but while it is previewed on our shores, it’s not confirmed yet if the GT Book will actually be sold here – certainly a curious move by the Chinese brand.

Nonetheless, three different variants of the GT Book are offered in other markets. The base model features an Intel Core i5-12450H processor with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 GPU, while the mid-tier model is configured with a Core i7-13620H chip and an RTX 4050. As for the range-topping model shown here, it comes with a Core i9-13900H processor with an RTX 4060 GPU.

Aside from the CPU and GPU combination of the GT Book, other specifications of the large gaming laptop are reasonably good. These include a 16-inch 1920 x 1200 IPS display with 120Hz refresh rate, up to 32GB of RAM, a 512GB or 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, a 70Wh battery, as well as an aluminium alloy chassis that measures 18.9mm. Tipping the scales at 1.99kg, it’s not too heavy either for a gaming laptop this size.

As mentioned, it remains to be seen if Infinix Malaysia will actually bring in the Infinix GT Book to the local market. For what it’s worth, the gaming laptop retails from only 59,990 Indian rupee, which comes up to about RM3,100 – that’s certainly quite affordable.
