Vivo just launched a new budget-friendly phone in Malaysia. One of the most touted features of the V40 Lite is the durability of its 5,000mAh battery; according to the Chinese company, the phone has “four years battery health,” where it is guaranteed to retain 80% of its charging capacity by the fourth year of use.

Three different variants of the V40 Lite are offered in Malaysia. The 8GB + 256GB base model – which is only sold online – is priced at RM1,199, while the 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB configurations go for RM1,299 and RM1,499 respectively. Aside from that, three colour options are available: Dreamy Violet, Titanium Silver, and Dynamic Black.

Beyond the durability of the V40 Lite’s battery, Vivo also highlights the fact that the phone supports 80W charging. Other specifications of the V40 Lite include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, a 6.67-inch 2400 x 1080 AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 50MP main and 8MP ultra-wide rear cameras, along with a 32MP selfie camera.

The Vivo V40 Lite is now available for pre-order in Malaysia until 25 October from RM1,199. Early birds can even get freebies worth up to RM995, which include a four-year battery warranty, one-year extended warranty, as well as Vivo-branded wireless earbuds and power bank.
