World Mental Health Day is happening tomorrow on 10 October, and to bring awareness on the importance of mental health, Apple has prepared a new limited edition Award for the Apple Watch. Naturally, the Award can only be obtained on 10 October, and it’s relatively easy to get it.
In order to add the limited edition Award to your collection, you only need to record 10 mindful minutes with your Apple Watch. Any app that can add the minutes to the Health app on the iPhone is eligible, including the Mindfulness app itself on the Apple Watch.

Of course, Apple also has various other ways for users to keep track of their mental wellbeing on the Apple Watch, iPhone, and even iPad. Take the State of Mind feature built right into the Health app, which allows users to log their moods and emotions by taking standardised mental health assessments. While these are not meant to be diagnostic tools, they can give users an understanding of their mental wellbeing.
World Mental Health Day is celebrated on 10 October every year. For 2024, the theme is prioritising mental health in the workplace. Perhaps take 10 minutes tomorrow for some downtime at your workplace with your Apple Watch; it’s a good opportunity to take a breather and score the limited edition Award.
