Acer Malaysia just introduced a new line of products in Malaysia, Acerpure Beauty. The headline product launching under the brand today is the Acerpure Beauty HD2 DS744-10W; yes, it’s a bit of a mouthful. Nonetheless, it is quite an intriguing 2-in-1 ionic hair dryer that also doubles as a styler.

Here in Malaysia, the HD2 DS744 hair dryer retails at RM999. For that kind of money, you’re getting the hair dryer itself, seven different styling attachments – allowing users to create diverse hairstyles, from sleek straight hair to voluminous waves easily, as Acer puts it – and even a travel case.

If you want something more affordable, there’s the Acerpure Beauty HD364-10W hair dryer for RM159.

Coming back to the DS744, it features a 110,000RPM brushless DC motor that can deliver up to 16L/s of air volume for quick drying without being excessively loud. It also has 75°C intelligent temperature control that measures air temperature “over 1000 times per second,” and weighing 400g, it’s quite lightweight too.

Also introduced today is the Acerpure Cool C3. The RM999 air purifier also acts as a circulator (it’s a fan, basically), and a night light, all packed in a compact form factor. It also features a 3-in-1 HEPA filter, 3D spiral airflow for quick cooling, and noise levels as low as 25dB.

The Acerpure Beauty HD2 DS744-10W and Acerpure Cool C3 are now available for purchase in Malaysia, and both of them are priced at RM999. If you want to see these products in person, you can do so at Acer’s ongoing roadshow in Pavilion Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur until 29 September.
