2024 Mitsubishi Xpander Facelift Open for Bookings in Malaysia – RM115k Estimated Price
September 12, 2024 Andrew Cheng

Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia just opened bookings for the 2024 Mitsubishi Xpander facelift. The seven-seater MPV proved to be a successful model for the Japanese company, and the facelifted version brings quite a number of changes to the MPV.

Let’s start with pricing. The pre-facelift Xpander went for RM100,980, and the updated model has a slightly higher estimated price of RM115,000 “for a limited time,” as the company puts it. For that kind of money, the MPV has new T-shape LED headlights and taillights, a rear spoiler, along with 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.

On the inside, the new Xpander features a new dashboard design, a 9-inch floating infotainment screen – still with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support – an updated steering wheel, digital climate control, and an electronic parking brake. This replaces the handbrake, freeing up space for a centre armrest; it’s a more practical interior, basically.

Beyond these changes, the Xpander continues to be powered by a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine that outputs 105PS and 141Nm of torque. Drive is sent to the front wheels via a four-speed automatic transmission; we’re not getting the CVT gearbox that is offered in other ASEAN markets, curiously enough. In the safety side of things, the MPV is still offered with only two airbags and no active safety features.

If you’re keen to book the Mitsubishi Xpander, you can do so online through Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia’s official website; it’s worth noting again that the RM115,000 estimated price is only offered for a limited time. Four colour options are available: Red Metallic, Quartz White Pearl, Diamond Black Mica, and Graphite Grey; the latter is a new colour which looks to replace Titanium Grey Metallic.
