Following suit after the base iPhone 16’s reveal are the higher-end iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max. Now sporting larger displays than their respective predecessors with the “best battery life ever,” the two Pro iPhones are also powered by the A18 Pro chip, which promises up to 15% faster performance compared to the A17 Pro.
The iPhone 16 Pro now features a 6.3-inch display, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max comes with a 6.9-inch panel. Thanks to the larger panel, the bezels of the two Pro iPhones are smaller now too for a sleeker, more modern-looking design. Besides that, both phones also get a new Camera Control button below the power button, which can act as a shutter button and control zoom, exposure, as well as depth of field.
In the camera department, the iPhone 16 Pro devices feature a new 48MP primary camera with zero shutter lag and an updated 48MP ultra-wide lens. If you’re a fan of the smaller iPhone 16 Pro, you’ll be happy to know that the 12MP telephoto camera with 5x zoom is offered on both the Pro and Pro Max models; no more compromise in camera hardware now between the two Pro iPhones.
Pricing wise, the iPhone 16 Pro retails from $999 (about RM4,365) with 128GB storage, while the larger iPhone 16 Pro Max starts at $1,199 (around RM5,240) with a more generous 256GB storage. It will hit store shelves at selected markets from 20 September, though Malaysian availability has not been revealed yet.
