Apple’s annual September event is happening right now, and the first product to be announced is the Apple Watch Series 10. Compared to its predecessors, the new smartwatch gets a number of notable upgrades, including a slimmer, lighter design, and even the option for a titanium finish now.

Measuring 9.7mm thin, the Apple Watch Series 10 is said to be almost 10% thinner than Series 9; the new titanium option is also about 20% lighter. Oh, the wide-angle OLED display is also larger and brighter now, allowing the smartwatch to show an extra line of text onscreen.

Under the hood of the Series 10 is a new S10 chip with a four-core neural engine. It also has a polished aluminium finish now, a metal back, the ability to detect sleep apnea, and a new charging coil design to enable faster charging. According to Apple, 30 minutes of charging is enough to juice up the battery to 80%.

Apple Watch Series 10 will be available for 20 September onwards later this month with the same $399 (about RM1,745) starting price in the US. We don’t have details on the Malaysian availability or pricing of the smartwatch just yet, but these details should be revealed by Apple very soon.
