Honor Magic V3 Unleashed in Malaysia – 9.2mm Thin, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, RM6,999
September 5, 2024 Andrew Cheng

The Honor Magic V3 just made its global debut at IFA 2024 in Berlin, and the razor thin foldable phone is simultaneously launched here in Malaysia. Measuring merely 9.2mm thin when it is folded, it gets even thinner at only 4.35mm when it’s opened up.

For the Malaysian market, the Magic V3 is offered in the sole 12GB + 512GB configuration for a cool RM6,999. At this price point, the foldable phone undercuts Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 6 quite a bit, which is priced at RM7,899 for the same 12GB + 512GB model.

Beyond its slim profile, the Magic V3 is also quite lightweight at 226g; this makes it even lighter than some traditional bar phones. It’s worth noting that the device comes with an IPX8 rating now too, an improvement over its predecessor which had no IP rating.

Other specifications of the Magic V3 include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, a 7.92-inch 2344 x 2156 OLED inner display with 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, a 6.43-inch 2376 x 1060 OLED cover screen (also 120Hz adaptive refresh rate), a triple camera system (50MP primary + 40MP ultra-wide + 50MP periscope telephoto), 20MP selfie cameras for the inner and outer displays, as well as a 5,150mAh battery with 66W charging.

The Honor Magic V3 is now available for pre-order in Malaysia until 12 September for RM6,999. Early birds will even get RM2,896 worth of free gifts, including a Honor Watch 4, a Honor Magic Pen, a Honor wireless charger stand, and a 363-day screen protection.
