Pico 4 Ultra Coming to Malaysia 3 September – First Market Outside of China
August 23, 2024 Andrew Cheng

Launched in China just a couple of days ago, we just got word that the new Pico 4 Ultra will be coming to Malaysia on 3 September. Prior to this, ByteDance’s mixed reality headset is said to be available in China only, so this makes Malaysia one of the first markets to get the Pico 4 Ultra.

Compared to the standard Pico 4 – which was launched here back in October 2022 – the Pico 4 Ultra, as its name suggests, features higher-end hardware. Not only is it a mixed reality headset now rather than just VR, it is also powered by a much more powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 chipset.

Other specifications of the Pico 4 Ultra include 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, 256GB UFS 3.1 storage, two 32MP colour passthrough cameras, two 2.56-inch 2160 x 2160 displays with 90Hz refresh rate, a 105-degree field of view, as well as a 5,700mAh battery.

To recap, the Pico 4 Ultra will be launched in Malaysia on 3 September; that’s just a couple of weeks to go. Of course, local pricing of the mixed reality headset has not been revealed yet, though it does retail at 4,299 Chinese yuan in China, which comes up to about RM2,635. Expect the Pico 4 Ultra to retail in the same price range once it is launched on our shores.
