At the recent Honkai: Star Rail livestream last Friday, Hoyoverse unveiled a slew of new content coming to the live service game. As usual, new playable characters will be coming in the Version 2.4 update on 31 July, and on top of that, the studio also revealed a Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works collaboration for Star Rail.
However, this anime collaboration will only happen in Q3 2025 next year, so specific details have not been revealed yet. Chances are, playable characters based on Fate/stay night will be involved; we’re personally excited at the prospect of playing as Saber or Archer.
Aside from that, there are two new 5-star characters coming to Star Rail: Yunli and Jiaoqiu. There is also technically a third new character that will be introduced in the update, which is a new Hunt path for March 7th that seems to be unlockable through a quest.
Several new characters also made an appearance in the Star Rail 2.4 trailer, including Feixiao and Moze; both of them have been previously teased by Hoyoverse. Looking at the trailer, the two of them should be featured in the main storyline of Version 2.4 as well.
The Version 2.4 update of Honkai: Star Rail will be released next week on 31 July. Yunli’s Event Warp will be available first alongside Houhou’s rerun, while Jiaoqiu’s and Sparkle’s banners will be offered in the second phase.
