Aside from the ROG Ally X, Asus also introduced two new gaming laptops for the Malaysian market, the compact Asus TUF Gaming A14 and the premium ROG Zephyrus G16. Both are powered by the new AMD Strix Point processor; namely the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370.
Let’s start with the smaller, more compact (and affordable) gaming laptop of the two, the TUF Gaming A14. The variant of the laptop retails at RM7,599 in Malaysia, which features the aforementioned Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor paired with 16GB RAM, an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 GPU, a 1TB SSD, as well as a 14-inch 2560 x 1600 IPS display with 165Hz refresh rate.
It’s worth noting that the TUF Gaming A16, which is essentially a larger version of the TUF Gaming A14, will also be offered in Malaysia in the near future.
As for the higher-end ROG Zephyrus G16, it is offered in two variants. The RTX 4060 model with 32GB RAM + 1TB SSD is priced at RM11,499, while the more powerful RTX 4070 version with 32GB RAM + 2TB SSD goes for RM13,499.
Beyond the different GPU and SSD configuration, both variants of the Zephyrus G16 feature the same hardware. These include a Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, a bright and vibrant 16-inch 2560 x 1600 ROG Nebula OLED display with 240Hz refresh rate, and a rather lightweight 1.85kg chassis that measures only 17.4mm thin.
The ROG Zephyrus G16 and the Asus TUF Gaming A14 are now available for pre-order in Malaysia from RM11,499 and RM7,499 respectively. Both gaming laptops have different pre-order gifts until 31 July as well. The Zephyrus G16 comes with a RM999 ROG Slash hard case luggage with every pre-order, while the TUF Gaming A14 is bundled with a RM755 TUF Gaming VG249Q3A monitor.
