The cute HomePod mini just got a new colour: Midnight. It replaces the previous Space Grey colourway, and while both colours look very…similar, the Midnight version does feature 100% recycled mesh fabric now, and it will be available in Malaysia from tomorrow onwards on 17 July.

Of course, the Midnight HomePod mini is still priced at RM529. For that kind of money, it offers excellent audio quality for the money. In our review of the compact smart speaker, we were genuinely surprised by the amount of bass that the miniature speaker can produce, and it can get quite loud as well to fill up, say, a bedroom.

Just like the larger HomePod, the HomePod mini can act as a hub for a smart home system through Apple HomeKit and the Matter standard. On top of that, it’s possible to set up two HomePod mini as a stereo pair for even better audio quality.

To recap, the HomePod mini in Midnight will be available for purchase in Malaysia from tomorrow onwards on 17 July. Priced at RM529, other colour options for the smart speaker include Orange, Yellow, Blue, and White.
