Version 4.8 of Genshin Impact is releasing next week on 17 July. As usual, a new playable character will be added in the new update, and two characters – Nilou and Kirara – will also be getting new outfits. On top of that, Hoyoverse is also teasing Natlan yet again in a new trailer, showcasing three new characters from the new region.

First, let’s talk about the new character releasing in Genshin Impact 4.8, Emilie. She is a 5-star Dendro character that wields a polearm, and she is able to deal more damage to enemies inflicted with the Burning status. Her banner will be offered alongside Yelan’s rerun in the second half of Version 4.8’s Event Wishes, while the first half will feature Navia and Nilou.

Also coming to Version 4.8 of Genshin Impact is a new limited-time map, Simulanka. It offers new stories, events, and of course, rewards. A new feature dubbed “Echo” will also be avaialble in Version 4.8, which adds new effects to character movements. Echoes for Diluc, Qiqi, Kirara, Jean, and Ningguang can be obtained by completing the Envisaged Echoes challenges in the Imaginarium Theater lobby.

Finally, there’s the Natlan teaser, which is likely to be released in Genshin Impact 5.0 right after the coming Version 4.8 update. Three characters from the region make an appearance in the trailer, though their identities have not been revealed yet.

Genshin Impact 4.8 will be available on 17 July next week. Once the update drops, Nilou and Navia will be featured in the first round of Event Wish, while the second half will consist of the new character Emilie and Yelan’s rerun.
