After much anticipation, the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro has just been launched in Malaysia. As promised, the Proton X70 rival is priced very competitively, so without a doubt the locally assembled C-segment SUV offers plenty of value for money.
Okay, so how much is the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro? The sole variant is priced at RM123,800, and it comes with 7-year/150,000km warranty – 24/7 unlimited towing is also offered in the warranty period – as well as five years of free service. The first 2,000 customers can also get the SUV for only RM119,800; that’s a whopping RM4,000 worth of savings.
Under the hood of the Tiggo 7 Pro is a 1.6L turbo engine that outputs 197PS and 290Nm of torque with drive sent to the front wheels via a seven-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. This allows the SUV to sprint from 0-100kmph in 9.5 seconds, and it also has a top speed of 205kmph. As for fuel consumption, the official figure is 7L per 100km.
Other specifications of the Tiggo 7 Pro include seven airbags, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, lane centering assist, autonomous emergency braking, as well as two 12.3-inch displays for the instrument cluster and infotainment system, which also supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
The Chery Tiggo 7 Pro is now available for booking in Malaysia for RM123,800. It’s worth noting again that the first 2,000 customers can get the C-segment SUV with a RM4,000 discount, bringing down the price to only RM119,800.
