It looks like the Oppo Reno 12 series will be coming to Malaysia soon, and AI seems to be a big selling point for the mid-range smartphones. We’re also getting a glimpse of the Reno 12’s and Reno 12 Pro’s overall design, which looks to be quite a departure from the Reno 11‘s design language.
Pre-orders of the Reno 12 series are now live in Malaysia, and the Chinese company is offering a RM100 discount for those who place an order for either devices by 7 July. A RM50 (non-refundable) deposit is required to pre-order the Reno 12 phones, and early birds will get a number of unspecified freebies too.
Unfortunately, exact specifications of the Reno 12 series for the Malaysian market have not been revealed yet, though we do have some features confirmed. Both the Reno 12 and Reno 12 Pro will focus on an AI-powered portrait mode of some form, and they feature a generous 5,000mAh battery as well.
No word yet on exactly when the Oppo Reno 12 series will be launched in Malaysia. But given that the pre-order period is ending on 7 July, it’s possible the mid-range smartphones will start shipping by then. We also received an early review unit of the Reno 12 Pro ahead of its local launch, so stay tuned for our unboxing of the AI-powered device!
