The Version 2.3 update for Honkai: Star Rail looks to be jam-packed with content. As usual, new characters will be introduced in the update (Firefly and Jade), and curiously enough, Hoyoverse is also teasing a new path for an existing character, March 7th.

Currently, March 7th is an Ice Preservation character, but in her new form, she is an Imaginary Hunt unit instead; it will be interesting to see how players can obtain the new form in (possibly) Star Rail 2.4. As for Firefly and Jade, they are 5-star Fire Destruction and Quantum Erudition characters respectively.

Beyond the new characters coming to Star Rail 2.3, a new permanent gameplay mode dubbed Apocalyptic Shadow will also be introduced. The new mode offers various rewards (including Stellar Jades, of course) by defeating two bosses that have previously appeared in the game’s storyline.

Also added in Version 2.3 of Honkai: Star Rail is Divergent Universe, a new project within the Simulated Universe. It has several features that make it quite beginner-friendly, such as increasing a character’s level thats below the Equilibrium Level Cap and allowing players to restart challenges after defeat without having to start over their whole run.

Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.3 will be available next week on 19 June. Firefly’s Event Warp will be available first alongside Ruan Mei’s rerun, while Jade’s and Argenti’s banners will be offered in the second phase.
