There are plenty of keyboards that are showcased at Computex, but it’s quite surprising that one of the most exciting keyboards at 2024’s instalment of the trade show is from a mainstream brand like ROG. As its name suggests, the ROG Azoth Extreme is a more…extreme version of the original Azoth, which was released back in 2023.
Compared to its predecessor, the Azoth Extreme now offers a full aluminum chassis. On top of that, it even has adjustable gaskets that can change the typing stiffness of the keyboard with just a toggle of a switch. To top it off, it even has a full colour OLED touch-enabled display now on the top right corner instead of a monochrome one.
That’s not all; further completing the feature set of the Azoth Extreme are a carbon fibre plate, a hotswap PCB, smooth linear ROG NX Snow or clicky ROG NX Storm switch, and even a sweet (and hefty) silicone wrist rest. Of course, the wireless capability of the gaming keyboard is also retained via the Taiwanese company’s 2.4GHz SpeedNova technology or Bluetooth.
For now, we still don’t know the pricing of the ROG Azoth Extreme, though we were told that it will cost more than its predecessor. For added context, the original Azoth went for RM1,070 at launch here in Malaysia. Nonetheless, we’ll find out more once the Azoth Extreme is officially launched sometime in Q3 2024 next quarter, and it will be available in Malaysia soon as well.
