The dates for Apple’s annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) for 2024 – from 10 to 14 June – were announced quite some time ago. Now, the Cupertino company confirmed the timing for the Keynote, which is taking place on 11 June at 1AM for us here in Malaysia.
For this year’s WWDC, Apple is expected to focus quite a bit on AI. This was foreshadowed by the Senior Vice President of worldwide marketing at Apple, Greg Joswiak, through a post on X by capitalising “Absolutely Incredible.” It will be interesting to see how a company like Apple will integrate AI to its range of products, and whether or not the iPhone will compete directly with the Samsung Galaxy S24 series’ Galaxy AI.
Beyond AI, we can expect Apple to share new features that will be coming to its range of operating systems, including iOS, iPadOS, macOS, and watchOS. After all, the Keynote promises to give a first look at “groundbreaking updates coming to Apple platforms later this year.” Aside from that, some new products may be unveiled too, including new AirPods and an updated AirPods Max headphones with USB-C.
To recap, WWDC24 will take place from 10 to 14 June 2024 at Apple Park. The Keynote address will be streamed on 11 June at 1AM (Malaysia time) through apple.com/my, the Apple Developer app, the Apple TV app, and Apple’s YouTube channel.
