Launched in Malaysia back in November 2023, the smart #1 is one of the most eye-catching premium EV SUVs in the market now with a ton of performance to offer. In fact, smart Malaysia just announced that the smart #1 is currently the third best-selling electric SUV on our shores.

The premium electric SUV category is defined by smart Malaysia as EVs that sit above the RM180,000 price point. To recap, three different models of the smart #1 are offered in Malaysia: the base Pro model costs RM189,000, while the mid-tier Premium variant goes for RM219,000. As for the most powerful Brabus model, it is priced at RM249,000.

Packing 428PS and 543Nm of torque out of its dual motor AWD powertrain, the smart #1 Brabus is a powerful EV. After all, with this level of performance, the #1 Brabus can go from 0-100kmph in only 3.9 seconds, which makes the EV a thrill to drive.

The fact that you can get this level of performance out of a RM249,000 car is certainly, undoubtedly, a very enticing proposition for folks who want a powerful EV for the money. The smart #1 Brabus also has a 66kWh battery that offers a range of up to 400km, which is measured on the stringent WLTP cycle.
