After introducing the Chery Omoda E5 EV a few weeks ago, Chery is ready to reveal the next model that is coming to Malaysia. Bookings for the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro are now open locally, and the Proton X70 rival has plenty of features to offer for the money.
According to Chery, the Tiggo 7 Pro will be priced under RM130,000, and it will be locally assembled for the Malaysian market. Only one variant of the C-segment SUV is expected to be offered here, and it is set to be officially launched on our shores by the end of May 2024.
Under the hood of the Tiggo 7 Pro is a 1.6L turbo engine that outputs 197PS and 290Nm of torque; drive is sent to the front wheels via a seven-speed wet dual-clutch transmission. With a 0-100kmph time of 9.5 seconds, the SUV also has a top speed of 205kmph. As for fuel consumption, the official figure is 7L per 100km.
Other specifications of the Tiggo 7 Pro include seven airbags, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, lane centering assist, autonomous emergency braking, as well as two 12.3-inch displays for the instrument cluster and infotainment system, which also supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
