GWM Malaysia is offering a very attractive deal on the Ora Good Cat EV. The carmaker is giving the electric hatchback a generous RM26,000 rebate – for a 2024 model to boot – bringing down the starting price of the EV to only RM113,800.
Of course, that starting price is for the 400 Pro base model, which usually goes for RM139,800. The higher-end 500 Ultra variant, on the other hand, is discounted to RM143,800 from RM169,800. Basically, both variants of the EV receive the same RM26,000 rebate. To sweeten the deal, bookings made by 30 April will also be eligible for a free wallbox charger and a three-pin portable charger.
So what do you get with the Ora Good Cat? Well, the base 400 Pro, for one, offers up to 400km of range from its 47.8kWh battery, though this is on the more optimistic NEDC cycle instead of WLTP. As for the 500 Ultra, it has a larger 63.1kWh cell for up to 500km range on the NEDC standard.
Regardless of which variant of the Ora Good Cat you get, both of them feature an electric motor driving the front wheels that output 143PS and 210Nm of torque. The EV also supports 60kW DC charging, allowing the 400 Pro and 500 Ultra to be charged from 30% to 80% in 32 minutes and 40 minutes respectively. As for AC charging, the EV can do 6.6kW, taking up to eight hours (400 Pro) or 10 hours (500 Ultra) for a full charge.
Other specifications of the Ora Good Cat include a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a 360-degree surround camera, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, traffic jam assist, 18-inch alloy wheels, synthetic leather upholstery, as well as a 10.25-inch infotainment screen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support.
If you’re keen to get the Ora Good Cat with the generous RM26,000 discount, you can register for a test drive on GWM Malaysia’s official website. We also have a rather extensive test drive of the Ora Good Cat, if you’re curious.
