Honor Malaysia launched quite a number of devices on our shores today, including the Porsche Design Honor Magic 6 RSR. Introduced in China just earlier this week, the Magic 6 RSR is essentially an improved version of the Magic 6 Pro.
For the Malaysian market, the Magic 6 RSR with 24GB RAM (!) and 1TB of storage retails at RM7,499. Just like how it is for the Porsche Design Magic V2 RSR, it will only be available for purchase by invitation. Registration of interest for the phone is now open on Honor Malaysia’s official website.
Compared to the standard Magic 6 Pro, the Magic 6 RSR has a more eye-catching design that incorporates Porsche’s “iconic hexagonal structure,” as the company puts it. Beyond that, the 50MP main shooter has a new H9800 sensor as well, along with a LIDAR autofocus system for faster focus performance.
Also new to the Magic 6 RSR is Honor’s own Anti-scratch NanoCrystal Shield protecting the front of the phone, which is said to provide “unrivaled” scratch resistance. The special edition phone has a dual layer OLED Tandem Display as well that promises extended screen lifespan by up to 600% with less than 1% brightness degradation after three years of use; that’s quite the claim.
Other specifications of the Magic 6 RSR include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, a 6.8-inch 2800 x 1280 OLED display with adaptive 120Hz refresh rate, a triple camera system (50MP main + 50MP ultra-wide + 180MP periscope telephoto with 2.5x optical zoom), a 5,600mAh battery, and an IP68 rating.
Registration of interest for the Porsche Design Honor Magic 6 RSR is now open in Malaysia. If you’re keen to pick up the phone for RM7,499, you can fill up the form right here to secure an invite to purchase the phone. No word yet on exactly when the Magic 6 RSR will arrive on our shores.
