The Infinix Note 40 series was introduced for the global market yesterday here in Malaysia, and the company just revealed the Malaysian availability of the devices today. As previously revealed, only two of the four devices will be sold here, which include the base Note 40 and Note 40 Pro 5G; we don’t get the range-topping Note 40 Pro+ 5G locally.
For the Malaysian market, the Note 40 is offered in the sole 8GB + 256GB model for RM898, and it comes with freebies worth RM69. As for the higher-end Note 40 Pro 5G, it retails at RM1,098 with the same 8GB + 256GB configuration and RM69 worth of freebies as the base Note 40.

As the higher-end device of the two, the Note 40 Pro 5G naturally has beefier hardware. These include a MediaTek Dimensity 7020 chip, a 6.78-inch 2436 x 1080 dual curve AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a triple camera system (108MP primary + 2MP + 2MP), a 32MP selfie camera, and a 5,000mAh battery with 45W charging.
The Note 40, on the other hand, features a MediaTek Helio G99 Ultimate chip, a 6.78-inch 2436 x 1080 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a single 108MP rear camera, a 32MP selfie camera, and a 5,000mAh battery with 45W charging.

The Infinix Note 40 and Infinix Note 40 Pro 5G are now available for pre-order in Malaysia for RM898 and RM1,098 respectively. Curiously, the Note 40 is can only be pre-ordered through Shopee, while the Note 40 Pro 5G is more widely available on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop.
