March 18, 2024 Andrew Cheng

Infinix just introduced its latest smartphones for the global market, and the launch took place right here in Malaysia. The Infinix Note 40 series is made up of four different devices, which include the standard Note 40, Note 40 Pro, Note 40 Pro 5G, as well as the range-topping Note 40 Pro+ 5G.

The four devices share the same design language, though there are some distinct differences between them. Let’s start with the Note 40 Pro+ 5G and Note 40 Pro 5G; both of them feature a MediaTek Dimensity 7020 chip, a 6.78-inch 2436 x 1080 dual curve AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a triple camera system (108MP primary + 2MP + 2MP), and a 32MP selfie camera.

As for battery capacity, the Note 40 Pro+ 5G has a 4,600mAh cell with 100W charging, while the Note 40 Pro 5G is packed with a larger 5,000mAh cell with 45W charging.

Next, we have the Note 40 Pro and Note 40. They come with a MediaTek Helio G99 Ultimate chip, a 6.78-inch 2436 x 1080 AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a triple camera system (108MP + 2MP + 2MP) for the Note 40 Pro – the Note 40 only has a single 108MP shooter – a 32MP selfie camera, and a 5,000mAh battery with 70W and 45W charging for the Note 40 Pro and Note 40 respectively.

Besides these four devices, there’s also a special Racing Edition of the Note 40 series. Designed in collaboration between Infinix and DesignWorks (a BMW group company), the unique colourway will be available towards the middle of the year in 2024. We got a glimpse of the device at the launch event, and it does look quite eye-catching.

Now, for the Malaysian market, only the Infinix Note 40 Pro 5G and Note 40 will be offered in Malaysia. Local pricing of the two phones have not been released yet, and we were told the information will only be revealed tomorrow.
