Gigabyte recently launched two new gaming laptops in Malaysia, the Aorus 16X and Aorus 17X. Featuring Intel’s latest 14th gen processors and Nvidia’s RTX 40 series GPUs, these are premium gaming laptops with matching price tags.
For the Malaysian market, three variants of the Aorus 16X are offered in Malaysia. The base RM7,119 model features an RTX 4060 GPU, an Intel Core i7-14650HX processor paired with 16GB RAM, and a 1TB SSD. A tier up is the RTX 4070 variant, which has similar hardware for RM8,259.
As for the range-topping RTX 4080 model of the Auros 16X with a Core i9-14900HX chip and 32GB RAM, it retails at RM9,289. The larger Aorus 17X, on the other hand, is offered in the sole RTX 4080 configuration with a Core i9-14900HX chip, 32GB RAM, and 1TB SSD for RM14,499.
You need a good display for a pleasant gaming experience, so without a doubt the Aorus 16X and Auros 17X have some impressive panels. The Auros 16X features a 16-inch 2560 x 1600 display with a fast 165Hz refresh rate, while the Auros 17X comes with a larger 17.3-inch 2560 x 1440 panel with an even faster 240Hz refresh rate.
Cooling of the Aorus 16X and Auros 17X is highlighted quite a bit too. Both laptops feature the brand’s WINDFORCE Infinity Cooling tech, which includes dual 12V fans for the 16X, and a more robust quad 12V fan setup for the 17X complete with an all-covered vapour chamber.
The Gigabyte Aorus 16X and Aorus 17X are now available for purchase in Malaysia. To recap, the smaller Aorus 16X starts at RM7,199, while the larger and more powerful Aorus 17X goes for RM14,499.
