Honda Malaysia Introducing 2 New Models in 2024 – Sets 95,000 Sales Target
March 14, 2024 Andrew Cheng

Honda Malaysia just revealed that it is planning to launch two new models on our shores sometime this year. On top of that, the Japanese carmaker has also set a rather lofty 95,000 sales target for the year – that’s a higher figure than the 80,000 sales target Honda Malaysia set (and achieved) for 2023.

“2024 will continue to be a challenging year for the automotive industry. Nevertheless, Honda Malaysia remains committed to driving success to new heights this year, built on the back of our remarkable achievements in 2023,” said the MD and CEO of Honda Malaysia, Hironobu Yoshimura.

“That includes our latest milestone of retaining the No.1 position in the non-national passenger vehicle segment for the tenth consecutive year since 2014,” he added.

As for the two new Honda models that are set to be introduced in Malaysia, the carmaker did not elaborate much on this, unfortunately enough. Honda Malaysia did, however, mention that it will continue to focus on its e:HEV hybrid technology in 2024, which pretty much confirms that the new models will feature the tech.

If we were to take a guess, it’s high time for the Honda City Hatchback to receive a facelift. After all, the B-segment hatchback was introduced here in late 2021, so we reckon the City Hatchback will be one of the two new models Honda Malaysia will introduce this year.

At the moment, Honda Malaysia is offering up to RM8,500 discount for selected models throughout March 2024, including the popular Honda Civic. More details on the promotion can be found here.
