Meizu 21 Launched in Malaysia – Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Phone From RM2,999
March 5, 2024 Andrew Cheng

It’s been a while since we’ve heard of Meizu, especially here in Malaysia, so it’s quite a surprise that the Chinese company is launching the Meizu 21 locally today. Powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, it’s quite an affordable flagship-tier phone.

For the Malaysian market, two variants of the Meizu 21 are offered on our shores. The base 256GB model retails at RM2,999, while the 512GB configuration goes for RM3,299. Both models also feature 12GB of RAM, and they are available in three colours: Infinity Black, Dynamic Purple, and Meizu White.

One of the headline features of the Meizu 21 – aside from the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset – is its “Aicy Dynamic Ring” built into the third camera sensor. Essentially, it can act as a flash or notification light. The ring light will flash in different colours for notifications, calls, or when the phone is connected to a charger.

Other specifications of the Meizu 21 include a 6.55-inch 2340 x 1080 OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a triple camera system (200MP primary + 13MP ultra-wide + 5MP depth), a 32MP selfie camera, a 4,800mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging, and Flyme 10.5 based on Android 14 out of the box.

The Meizu 21 is now available for purchase in Malaysia through its official Shopee and Lazada stores, priced at RM2,999 and RM3,299 for the 256GB and 512GB models respectively. Those who buy the phone by 5 April will receive a number of freebies, including a pair of Meizu Pandaer gaming earbuds and an additional 12-month warranty.
