With the introduction of the new M3-powered 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Air laptops, Apple has reduced the price of the 13-inch MacBook Air with M2 chip in Malaysia. Previously retailing from RM5,199, the (still very capable) laptop now starts at RM4,799 – that’s a respectable RM400 price cut.

To recap, the M2 MacBook Air retains the thin and light design of the original M1 model. With a 11.3mm thin chassis, this is without a doubt a portable laptop. Tipping the scales at only 1.2kg, it is also a lightweight laptop that you can easily lug around in your backpack.

Aside from its portable nature, the new MacBook Air also gets a 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display – complete with a notch – very respectable battery life of up to 18 hours, as well as up to 24GB of memory and 2TB SSD storage. There’s also the much-loved MagSafe charger and two Thunderbolt ports.

To recap, the M2-powered 13-inch MacBook Air now starts at RM4,799 in Malaysia; it is currently the most affordable MacBook Air that is available for purchase. If you want the newer M3 model with faster performance instead, it can be yours from RM5,199 or RM6,199 for the 13-inch and 15-inch options respectively.
