The Realme 12 series has landed in Malaysia. The lineup consists of the Realme 12+ and Realme 12 Pro+, and the headline feature of the latter is its periscope telephoto lens. Realme says that it is the only phone that offers such camera hardware in the segment.

For the Malaysian market, the Realme 12+ (12GB/256GB) is the more affordable phone of the two with a RM1,499 price tag. As for the higher-end Realme 12 Pro+, it retails at RM1,699 and RM2,099 for the 8GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB models respectively. It’s worth noting that the 8GB/256GB Realme 12 Pro+ will be discounted to RM1,599 in the upcoming 3.3 online sale on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok.

As mentioned, the Realme 12 Pro+ has a 64MP periscope telephoto lens that can do 3x optical zoom and up to 120x digital zoom; complementing this sensor is a 50MP main camera and an 8MP ultra-wide lens. It also has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset, a 6.7-inch 2412 x 1080 OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 32MP selfie camera, and a 5,000mAh battery with 67W charging.

And then we have the more affordable Realme 12+. It features a MediaTek Dimensity 7050 chip, a 6.67-inch 2400 x 1080 OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a triple camera system (50MP main + 8MP ultra-wide + 2MP macro), a 16MP selfie camera, and a 5,000mAh battery with 67W charging.

The Realme 12+ and Realme 12 Pro+ will be available for purchase in Malaysia from tomorrow onwards on 1 March 2024. To recap, the Realme 12+ is priced at RM1,499, while the Realme 12 Pro+ goes for RM1,699 – RM1,599 during the 3.3 sale – and RM2,099 for the 8GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB models respectively.
