February 29, 2024 Andrew Cheng

Now this is a rather extensive branding exercise from Samsung. The Tun Razak Exchange (TRX) MRT station has been “taken over” by the Korean company, and it is now known as the TRX Samsung Galaxy MRT Station.

“The TRX MRT Station is a key station within the MRT network, as it has been designed to anchor the TRX International Financial District as well Kuala Lumpur’s latest major retail destination, offering great commercial value in advertising and marketing,” said the CEO of MRT Corp, Datuk Mohd Zarif Hashim.

“We are pleased to welcome the globally renowned Samsung as our Station Naming Rights and Station Domination Advertising partner at this station, now named TRX Samsung Galaxy MRT Station,” he added.

The President of Samsung Malaysia, Denny Kim, was also present at the launch. “The station’s direct connection to Malaysia’s newest and vibrant lifestyle hub ensures a seamless experience for both travelers and shoppers. The collaboration with MRT Corp represents our shared vision for a more connected future, aimed at enhancing the convenience and accessibility for everyone.”

In conjunction with this branding exercise, Samsung is offering a free RM5 TNG eWallet credit to all Samsung users. The credit can be claimed at the Samsung Experience Store within The Exchange TRX, and the Samsung Members app is required for the redemption.
