Honkai: Star Rail’s biggest patch yet is set to arrive next week on 6 February. Not only will Penacony be added as a new realm, players can also get a total of 20 Star Rail Special Passes by participating in the check-in event. On top of that, three new playable characters will also be added to the game: Black Swan, Sparkle, and Misha.
Of the three new characters, Black Swan (5-star Wind Nihility) will be available first alongside Misha (4-star Ice Destruction) and Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae’s rerun in the first phase of Star Rail 2.0’s event warp. For the second phase, Sparkle’s (5-star Quantum Harmony) and Jing Yuan’s banners will be available.
With the introduction of the Penacony realm in the Version 2.0 update of Star Rail, new Trailblaze missions will also be available. The main story of Penacony will span until the Version 2.2 update, followed by epilogues in Version 2.3. Of course, we can expect a number of new characters (including Black Swan) to appear in the storyline.
A number of quality of life improvements will also be implemented in Star Rail 2.0. Fate’s Atlas, for one, is a chronological recollection of stories in each world; useful for folks who want to refresh their memories. Aside from that, there will also be Relic set recommendations tailored to each character, so building characters should be an easier process moving forward.
The Version 2.0 update of Honkai: Star Rail will be available next week on 6 February. To recap, Black Swan’s, Misha’s, and Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae’s event warps will be offered first once the update drops, followed by Sparkle’s and Jing Yuan’s banners at a later date.
