At the Malaysian launch of the Honor Magic V2, Honor Malaysia made a surprise announcement. The limited edition Porsche Design Honor Magic V2 RSR, which was announced just last week, will actually be coming to Malaysia in the next couple of months.
More specifically, the Magic V2 RSR is said to be available locally in the next two months, so the foldable phone should arrive here sometime in March 2024. However, this phone will only be sold by invitation only; interested customers are required to register their interest here to secure an invite.
Beyond its different design, the Magic V2 RSR has similar hardware as the standard Magic V2. It still weighs 231g with a 9.9mm chassis when folded, a generous combined battery capacity of 5,000mAh with support for 66W fast charging, as well as a triple camera system (50MP primary + 50MP ultra-wide + 20MP telephoto) with two 16MP selfie cameras; one for the inner screen, and another for the cover display.
Other specifications of the Magic V2 RSR include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, a 7.92-inch 2344 x 2156 OLED primary display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 6.43-inch 2376 x 1060 OLED cover screen – also clocked at 120Hz – and MagicOS 7.2 based on Android 13 out of the box.
The Porsche Design Honor Magic V2 RSR should arrive in Malaysia sometime in March 2024. If you’re keen to get the phone, register your interest to secure an invite to purchase the foldable phone when it is available here.
