If you’ve been wanting to test drive the Tesla Model Y, you can now do so in Malaysia at the two local Tesla Experience Centres in Cyberjaya and Pavilion Damansara Heights. Interestingly, Tesla says that the test drive is done by appointment only.

To make an appointment to test drive the Model Y, you can either fill up this online form or give Tesla a call at 1800810655 from 9AM to 6PM on the weekday. Do note that a test drive appointment is non-transferrable, and it is subject to terms and conditions too.

To recap, the Model Y starts at RM199,000 in Malaysia for the standard RWD model, while the Long Range AWD variant goes for RM246,000. If you want the fastest Model Y Performance – with an impressive 0-100kmph time of 3.7 seconds – it will set you back RM288,000.

Naturally, opting for the Model Y Performance comes with a suite of upgrades. These include larger (and much sleeker) 21-inch Überturbine alloy wheels, performance brakes, lowered suspension, aluminium alloy pedals, a carbon fibre spoiler, and of course, an increased top speed from 217kmph to 250kmph.

As is the case with all Tesla models, you can purchase various add-ons for the Model Y in Malaysia. Getting the Enhanced Autopilot, for one, is a RM16,000 add-on, while the complete Full Self-Driving Capability is a RM32,000 premium. You can change the all-black interior to a black and white colour scheme too for RM5,000.
