Samsung finally announced the official date for its Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event. Set to take place on 18 January at 2AM Malaysian time, the launch should see the debut of the Korean company’s latest Samsung Galaxy S24 series.
Based on previous rumours, three devices will be offered: the standard Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24+, as well as the range-topping Galaxy S24 Ultra. AI looks to be the big buzzword for the flagship lineup, though no specific features were detailed by Samsung.
Looking at the camera array of the three phones in the leaked spec table above, Samsung looks to be keeping the same design language for the S24 series. What’s different is the titanium build that is reserved for the range-topping S24 Ultra, while the 200MP main camera and 100x Space Zoom are retained.
As usual, the leaked spec table also shows that the S24 series will continue to feature the latest and greatest hardware. These include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, a bright and vibrant Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a peak brightness of 2,600 nits, and bigger battery capacities for the S24+ and standard S24. However, the 5,000mAh battery of the S24 Ultra is the same as its predecessor.
While these leaked details of the Samsung Galaxy S24 series look legitimate, there’s still a chance that they may not be accurate. Nonetheless, we’ll have to wait for Samsung itself to confirm these details come 18 January 2024. You can also register your interest for the new phones to get up to RM400 e-voucher and a chance to win daily mystery gifts from 3 January to 17 January 2024.
