If you have to renew your driving license or road tax soon, good news. Starting 1 February 2024, Malaysians can renew their digital driving license (e-LMM) and road tax (e-LKM) online through the MyJPJ app. Once the service is live, you don’t have to make your way to a JPJ branch or post office anymore.
To encourage Malaysian private vehicle owners to switch to a digital driving license, a RM5 rebate will be given to those who opt for an E-LMM during their driving license renewal from 1 February to 31 December 2024. This RM5 rebate is offered not just on the MyJPJ app, as renewals through the MySIKAP portal, JPJ branch, Pos Malaysia, or even MyEG are also eligible for the rebate.
For folks who still prefer a physical driving license or road tax, a paper slip will be issued instead in the interim, as pictured above. That’s right, the previous road tax sticker and physical driving license card will no longer be used moving forward.
To recap, the digital driving license and road tax renewal through MyJPJ will be available from 1 February 2024 onwards. Those who opt for an e-LMM renewal will also receive the aforementioned RM5 rebate, which is offered until 31 December 2024.
