2024 Honda CR-V Unleashed in Malaysia – 4 Variants, Honda Sensing Standard, From RM158k
December 14, 2023 Andrew Cheng

The all-new Honda CR-V has just been launched in Malaysia. The C-segment SUV, now in its sixth generation, is offered in four different models with two powertrain options here. These include the new generation 2.0L e:HEV hybrid system – reserved for the highest-end 2.0L e:HEV RS hybrid model – and the familiar 1.5L VTEC turbocharged engine.

First, pricing. The base S model of the CR-V is priced at RM159,900, while the mid-tier E variant goes for RM169,900. As for the V trim, which is the range-topping petrol model, it retails at RM181,900. Pricing of the highest-end e:HEV RS hybrid model has not been revealed yet, as it’s only slated to be launched here in early 2024.

To celebrate Honda’s 75th anniversary – which also coincides with 20 years of the CR-V’s local assembly in Malaysia – the S variant will be offered at RM157,900 for the first 750 units.

Naturally, all variants of the sixth generation CR-V features upgraded Honda Sensing ADAS, which combines a wide-angle radar, camera, and sonar sensor for Low Speed Braking Control. The Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS) is said to be improved too with better line tracing and steering assistance.

Output wise, the CR-V RS’ 2.0L e:HEV hybrid powertrain offers 184PS and 335Nm of torque, paired to an e:CVT with a new framework; this is said to be a first for Honda Malaysia. As for the 1.5L turbo engine – found on the S, E, and V models – it does 193PS and 243Nm of torque, mated to a CVT. It’s worth noting that the V variant features “advanced Real Time AWD” as well, as the carmaker puts it.

Other standard features of the new CR-V include eight airbags, auto LED headlights, front LED sequential turn signals, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, as well as the Honda Connect telematics system.

If you want to place a booking for the new Honda CR-V, you can do so online here. Alternatively, bookings can be done through the HondaTouch app as well, which can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
