If you’re a Malaysian earning below RM100,000 annually – and you are above the age of 21 – you will be eligible to receive RM100 ewallet credit from the government through the eMadani initiative. The registration and claim period is set between 4 December 2023 to 20 February 2024.

Four ewallet services have been chosen for the eMadani initiative: Maybank’s MAE, ShopeePay, TNG eWallet, as well as Setel by Petronas. The claim process should be outlined by these four services closer to the redemption date this coming Monday (4 December).

The eMadani initiative was first announced by Prime Minister (and Finance Minister) Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim back in July. Approximately 10 million Malaysians from the B40 and M40 groups will receive the RM100 ewallet credit, and according to Anwar, RM1 billion has been allocated for this initiative.

Previously, the government gave out RM200 ewallet credit to eligible students and youths under the eBelia Rahmah programme. “Seeing the success of that ewallet credit programme, the government agrees to offer a RM100 ewallet credit to adults,” said Anwar.
