Apple just revealed the finalists for its annual App Store Award. For the 2023 edition, there are some interesting apps in the running, including Honkai: Star Rail. Hoyoverse’s latest title was released back on 26 April earlier this year, and it proved to be popular across different platforms, including the iPhone, evidently.
Contending with Honkai: Star Rail for the 2023 iPhone Game of the Year award are two other mobile games: Afterplace and Vampire Survivors. It’s worth noting that Hoyoverse’s other game, Genshin Impact, snatched the same title before when it was first released back in 2020.
Besides iPhone Game of the Year, there are also a number of other awards up for grabs. These include App of the Year awards for the iPhone, Mac, iPad, Apple Watch, and Apple TV, Apple Arcade Game of the Year, and even a dedicated award for Cultural Impact. The full list of finalists for the 2023 App Store Award can be found right here.
“We are excited about the achievements of these App Store Award finalists who are helping users around the world to explore their interests in drawing, design, video editing, education, music, time management, working out, hiking, playing games, and so much more,” said Phil Schiller, Apple Fellow.
“These finalists are all incredibly talented and have put enormous effort into creating these great apps and games. We are inspired by their accomplishments and look forward to announcing the winners of the App Store Awards later this month,” he added.
