2023 Honda CR-V Bookings Open in Malaysia – 4 Variants, December Launch
November 15, 2023 Andrew Cheng

Honda Malaysia just opened bookings for the all-new Honda CR-V. Now in its sixth generation, the C-segment SUV will be offered with two powertrain options: a new generation 2.0L e:HEV hybrid system, and a 1.5L VTEC turbocharged engine.

Scheduled to be launched next month in December, four variants of the CR-V will be offered in Malaysia. As shown in the pre-booking page for the SUV, there’s the range-topping 2.0L e:HEV RS model, as well as the V, E, and S variants, which are all powered by a 1.5L VTEC turbo engine.

Output wise, the 2.0L e:HEV hybrid powertrain offers 184PS and 335Nm of torque, paired to an e:CVT with a new framework; this is said to be a first for Honda Malaysia. As for the 1.5L turbo engine, it does 193PS and 243Nm of torque, mated to a CVT. It’s worth noting that the SUV features “advanced Real Time AWD” as well, as the carmaker puts it.

Other key specifications of the new CR-V revealed by Honda Malaysia so far include Berlina Black 18-inch alloy wheels for the e:HEV RS model, an Active Shutter Grille mounted on the front lower bumper for improved aerodynamics and fuel efficiency, a 360-degree camera, as well as the Honda Connect telematics system.

Naturally, the sixth generation CR-V also features upgraded Honda Sensing ADAS, which combines a wide-angle radar, camera, and sonar sensor for Low Speed Braking Control. The Lane Keep Assist System (LKAS) is said to be improved too with better line tracing and steering assistance.

The all-new Honda CR-V will be available for public preview ahead of its launch sometime in December next month at selected Honda dealerships throughout Malaysia. You can refer to the table above for the full list of participating outlets.

If you want to place a booking for the new CR-V, you can do so online here. Alternatively, bookings can be done through the HondaTouch app as well, which can be downloaded from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
