The sporty Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4Matic Coupe has just made its debut in Malaysia. The SUV is said to combine “sporty performance with high efficiency,” thanks to its mild hybrid system. Initially available as a fully imported CBU model here, the GLC Coupe will actually be locally assembled (CKD) sometime next year.
For the Malaysian market, the GLC 300 4Matic Coupe is priced at RM469,888 with 10% sales tax included. Under the hood of the SUV is a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine that outputs 258hp and 400Nm of torque paired to a 9G-Tronic nine-speed automatic transmission that sends drive to all wheels via the 4Matic AWD system.
As mentioned, the GLC Coupe also has a 48V mild hybrid system with a second generation integrated starter-generator for energy recuperation and extra power; it offers additional 23hp and 205Nm of torque. Performance wise, the SUV can do the century sprint in 6.3 seconds with a top speed of 246kmph.
“We are happy to introduce the all-new Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4Matic Coupe where the exquisite blend of efficiency meets an unrivalled visual presence,” said the Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Mercedes-Benz Cars Malaysia and SEA II, Bettina Plangger.
“This luxury SUV is a testament to refined luxury and innovative design and we are delighted to present it to our customers in Malaysia,” she added.
The Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4Matic Coupe can now be booked in Malaysia for RM469,888 in CBU form; the locally assembled CKD model is set to be released sometime next year. More details on the premium SUV can be found here.
